Americans Of Japanese Descent Return From Burma Fighting -- Three American soldiers of Japanese ancestry arrive at a southern U.S. airbase after months of jungle fighting against the Japanese in the India-Burma theater of war. All three were with Major General Frank Merrill's Marauders, famous jungle fighter group. They are; Staff Sergeant Herbert Y. Miyasaki (center), Sergeant Robert Y. Honda (left), and Sergeant Katsuhiro Kona who wears the Bronze Star, military decoration awarded for meritorious achievement in combat against the enemy on the ground.
