Beware, 'Danny' is on Royal Guard:Watchdog Dingaan Simba - better known as Danny - keeps a close eye on the priceless royal plate being unloaded from a lorry outside London's Victoria and Albert Museum after the journey from Buckingham Palace. The three-year-old bull mastiff is owned by Mr. Alex Sinclair, 40, who was born in Scotland. Danny accompanied the plate on the trip - just in case someone had ideas about stealing the valuable cargo which is destined for the museum exhibition which opens on February 19. Danny, as gentle as lamb when he's among friends, serves as guard dog with a firm that specialises in handling valuable shipments. January 14, 1954.
