Canadian Tanks bound for Russian Front -- Along line of Canadian-built infantry tanks loaded aboard flat cars leaves the Angus shops in Montreal on the first lap of the long journey to the Russian front where they will help push back the waves of frost bitten Nazis on the Moscow and Southern sectors. One hundred of these infantry tanks will be sent to Russia from Canada. Each weighs 20 tones and has a top speed of 20 miles per hour. More than 3,500 men keep the plant going night and day, Six day a week to keep these steel monsters flowing from the assembly line on a mass production basis. March 22, 1943.
