Kindle Olympic Flame From Midnight Sun -- Pekka Niemi holds aloft one of two Olympic flames, after it was kindled by the light of the Midnight Sun in a tiny village in Finnish Lapland. Niemi later ran with the flame to the Swedish-Finnish border where it was joined with an Olympic torch, lighted in Greece. Both were en route to Helsinki for the opening of the 15th Olympiad.
