Mr. John Edward Johnstone on his arrival at Southampton to-day.Home after an absence of 35 years is John Edward Johnstone of Melbourne, Australia, the man who has to his credit the deepest deep-sea dive.Mr. Johnstone - who is to meet his brother and sister for the first time in 35 years - arrived at Southampton to-day (Saturday) in the Orient liner 'Orion' and is going to Liverpool, where he was born, for the family reunion. Mr. Johnstone gained the world's deep sea diving record when he descended 550 feet in Hauriki Gulf, New Zealand. July 16, 1949.
