A Police Jungle Force For Malaya - The Malayan Police Force which, in proportion to the population of the country is one of the biggest in the world, is rapidly extending its fighting arm to hit hard and often at the Communist bandits in the jungle. It has been compelled to do this because at any moment world events may require a transfer of British military forces to another area leaving Malaya without sufficient strength to wipe out the Communist terror. The Commissioner of Police initiated a plan to form 45 Jungle Companies in the Federation made up of all races who live in Malaya. July 24, 1951. (Photo by British Official Photograph).
