The Rockefeller Centre, New York -- This unique 15-building development in the centre of Manhattan occupies a little more than 12 acres between 48th and 51st Street and between Fifth Avenue and the Avenue of the Americas. The Esso Building, extreme right, forms the northern gateway to the Centre, with an entrance on 52nd. The building in the centre, of the picture, towering above all others, is the R.A.C. Building of 70 storeys. Right of it, and just behind the spires of St. Patrick's Cathedral, is the 41 -storey International Building.
