Roomy Interior The cavernous cargo hold of a U. S. Air Force C-124 "Globemaster II" demonstrates the vast cargo- carrying potential of the giant transport. Being tested under field conditions, and flying with other transports engaged in the Korean airlift by the Far East Air Forces 315th Air Division (Combat Cargo), the Globemaster will carry approximately 30 tons of cargo on a single flight in the Korean airlift, more than three times the amount carried by the C-54 Skyraaster, previously the la
