A sketch taken of the courtroom at Old Bailey where the trial of Mr M' Naughten took place, for the assassination Mr Edward Drummond, secretary to Prime Minister Sir Robert Peel. Mr M' Naughten was fixated with Sir Robert Peel, and in his attempt to assassinate him he hit Drummond. The trial became notorious and is still cited today as he pleaded insanity and was therefore not tried. Date: 1848
