A new uniform London's women police has been approved by the Home Office and Scotland Yard, and will be seen by the public in November. The new tunic has padded shoulders, higher lapels and two breast pockets in the style of those worn by the American women police. The detachable belt has a buckle of new design. The skirt is of six-piece design instead of two-piece. July 23, 1946.
