At Saighton Camp, Chester, yesterday the Court-martial opened of Lieutenant-Colonel Alfred Gleave, Commanding officer of Moston Hall Military Hospital, Chester. The Lt. Col. faced two charges: that he failed to report or investment allegations of ill-treatment of a solider patient. That he agreed to a statement for the press indicating that a full inquiry had been made into allegations of ill-treatment of a soldier-patient, knowing the same to be false. July 15, 1953.
