Speedy Attack Bomber Purchased by the Netherlands -- The Speedy Douglas 8A-3N single engine attack bomber, fastest of its type produced in this country, was purchased by the Netherlands Government. It was a maximum speed in excess of 250 miles per hour at 65 percent power and a service ceiling well above 28,000 feet. In addition to bombing equipment, the bomber carries four wing-mounted machine guns and a flexible mounted machine gun in the rear cockpit.
