Americans are not waiting for a blessing from the FDA on its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. They are using CBD tinctures, pills and gummies to ease arthritis pain, migraines, insomnia and even anxiety in pets.
The labels can get a little confusing. CBD oils can come from either hemp or marijuana. (Both are members of the Cannabis Sativa family of plants, but not the same thing.) Hemp products are legal everywhere. Cannabis Oil is from marijuana and has higher THC levels. It may or may not be legal where you live.
Can you spot the difference between marijuana and hemp? Marijuana tends to have a broad leaf and a tight bud. Hemp has a skinny leaf concentrated at the top with few lower branches.
Branding experts are advising CBD businesses to use more images of tinctures, oils and capsules, which consumers associate with medicine, rather than plants, flowers and edibles, which they associate with recreation.
