Paulin's plaster cast, as approved by the Queen. Queen Elizabeth has approved a profile of herself for use as a hallmark on gold and silverware made in Britain during Coronation Year. The profile has been sculpted by 64-year-old Scot G. H. Paulin. It will be the first time a sovereign's head has been used to mark silverware since the Silver Jubilee of King George V and Queen Mary in 1935. The design has been approved also for use on Coronation medals. October 7, 1952. (Photo by The Associated Press Ltd.).
